Questions people ask me
Do you do one-off garden clearances?
Yes — clearances are about a third of my work. From £180 for a half day including taking the waste away. Send photos and I'll tell you whether it's a half day, a day or more.
How much is regular maintenance?
£30 an hour, two-hour minimum, waste included. Most fortnightly gardens come to £60–£90 a visit. I'll fix a price per visit once I've seen the garden so you know what to expect.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes. I'm a registered waste carrier with Natural Resources Wales and green waste goes to a licensed composting site. Included in maintenance; quoted for clearances.
Do you work in winter?
Yes. November to February is when hedges, fencing, patios and clearances happen, and regular gardens go to a monthly tidy.
Do you do fencing repairs, not just new fences?
Yes — storm-damaged panels and posts are a regular job here. Repairs from £75 per section depending on posts and access.
How far do you travel?
Everywhere in Pembrokeshire. Beyond roughly 25 miles from Haverfordwest I add travel time to the quote, and I let you know before you agree.
Can you quote from photos?
For most jobs, yes — reply to my email with a few photos and I'll price it or arrange a free visit within two working days.
Are you insured?
Yes, public liability to £1m. I'm happy to send the certificate.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer within 7 days of the invoice or card on the day. Landscaping over £1,000: 30% deposit for materials, balance on completion.
Do you lay artificial grass?
Yes, for small, shaded or hard-worn areas — from £70 per m² fitted on a proper base. If I think real turf would do the job, I'll say so first.
